🌍🤖 Global connections through robotics! Today, Blacksburg High School welcomed visitors from Anguilla, including 8th-12th grade students, coaches from the Anguillian Robotics Association, and government officials.

Our MCPS robotics Team 401 and Virginia Tech Engineering Education staff hosted the group to demo our robots, share ideas, and explore new ways to enhance STEAM education both here at home and in Anguilla. Thank you to everyone who made this incredible cross-cultural exchange possible!

A wide-angle, full group photograph taken from a distance, showing a diverse gathering of approximately 18 students and mentors standing on a long teal runner carpet that extends from the foreground back into a large, open-plan school robotics or shop classroom. They are lined up behind a large, custom-built industrial competition robot with "401" on its blue bumper. Several members hold bright yellow game balls. The room features high ceilings, exposed ventilation pipes, bright overhead fluorescent lighting, and is filled with other large machines, workbenches stacked with tools and parts, an orange crate, and other smaller robotics equipment, including another smaller robot on the left.
